We are so thrilled to see our latest project completed, and now the beautiful owners, Jenny and Jon, can call this stunning haven ‘home’. Take a read through their story and enjoy a close up look at some of their selections.

How it started

The beautiful, couple in Rye had been following our Instagram for some time. In the process of working with an architect, the couple became overwhelmed at the thought of having to choose the right selections to suit their vision. The pressure to make sure their choices would create the right look felt all too much.

Although the clients had chosen the majority of the finishes themselves, they engaged our Studio for guidance for hardware and feature lighting, being provided with a mood board of selections for them to see in person, along with a detailed list of where to purchase each product.

The selections we love

Consistent Brass hardware features throughout keeping a cohesive look between spaces. These half moon handles sit beautifully on the built in cabinetry in the family room next to the kitchen and dining area, complimenting the kitchen cabinetry seamlessly.

Brass proves it’s versatility in the ensuite, bathroom and powder room as they also feature brass in both the hardware and tapware, however in these rooms it is also complimented by timber look vanities. Even the toilet flush has been included!

The cleaver window placement by the architect, through out the home bring an abundance of natural light indoors and frame gorgeous views to the garden, all while keeping the home incredibly private. The sheer curtains add a luxe, yet calming feel in the bedrooms and living zones which we adore.

The feature stone wall chosen by the clients is one of the biggest wow factors of the home. We love how natural materials can make a statement, yet still feel so organic and comforting. This beauty can be seen from outside the main entrance all the way through to family room.

Another consistent and tasteful design detail (chosen by the architect and clients) that runs through the home is the use of VJ panelling. We love that this honours the original character of the home.

As well as beautiful beams, the ceiling is lined in VJ panelling, it also features on a bathroom wall behind the vanity and throughout the internal doors, including these custom barn doors which are stunning.
